Chevrolet has detailed prices, engines, and features for the 2027 Silverado 1500 in the United States, with changes starting from the Work Truck (WT) to the ZR2. The base configuration starts at US$ 41,395, including destination charges applicable in the North American market.
In the official Chevrolet material on the 2027 Silverado 1500, the manufacturer reports a lineup featuring seven versions and four engine options. The lineup will also receive new digital features and driver assistance technology, with availability at North American dealerships expected by the end of 2026.

TurboMax Features 10-Speed Transmission
Among the significant mechanical changes is the new calibration of the 2.7 TurboMax four-cylinder engine. This setup now delivers 350 hp, equivalent to approximately 355 hp, and 455 lb-ft of torque, or about 62.9 kgfm.
The TurboMax also replaces the previous eight-speed automatic transmission with a ten-speed automatic gearbox. For this engine, Chevrolet specifies a final drive ratio of 3.42; for the other engines, the indicated ratio is 3.23.
In addition to the 2.7 TurboMax, the 2027 Silverado 1500 retains the Duramax 3.0 six-cylinder turbodiesel engine, delivering 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. The new generation also features two gasoline V8 options of 5.7 and 6.6 liters, expanding the available combinations depending on the version.
The 5.7 V8 develops 402 hp and 428 lb-ft, while the 6.6 reaches 481 hp and 501 lb-ft. It is this last engine that allows Chevrolet to present the new Silverado as the most powerful in the model’s history, although the availability of each engine varies across configurations.
Practically, the four engines occupy different positions within the lineup. The TurboMax is featured in the base configurations, the Duramax 3.0 continues as a diesel option, and the new V8s cater to versions looking for higher power or specific features.
The maximum towing capacity also depends on the combination of engine, cabin, drive type, and package. According to Chevrolet’s technical specifications, the highest figure is 13,700 pounds, approximately 6.2 tons, for the 5.7 V8 with a double cab, rear-wheel drive, and Max Trailering package.
Larger Screens Across the Lineup
The changes are not limited to mechanics. The entire lineup now offers a 12.2-inch digital dashboard and a 16.3-inch multimedia center as standard features, including in the Work Truck, which is aimed at commercial and fleet applications.
The adoption of larger screens in the Work Truck aligns with an expansion of assistance features. Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking at intersections, automatic reverse braking, front and rear sensors, and lane change assist.
Also part of the package are rear cross-traffic braking and other active safety systems reported by Chevrolet for the 2027 lineup. These features form the technological foundation of the Silverado even before the versions that add more advanced driving capabilities.
In the High Country and ZR2 trims, Chevrolet adds an 11.5-inch display for the front passenger. Both trims also come standard with Super Cruise, an assistance system that allows hands-free driving on compatible roads and can operate during towing under the conditions specified by the manufacturer.
Prices reach $79,995 for the ZR2
The Work Truck starts the pricing table at $41,395, followed by the Custom at $46,395 and the Silverado at $50,695. Above them are the Custom Trail Boss at $57,195, Trail Boss at $63,995, High Country at $74,495, and ZR2 at $79,995.
MotorTrend compared the prices of the 2027 lineup with previous equivalents and noted an increase of $1,700 for the Work Truck. For the High Country, the vehicle calculated a difference of $11,595, while the ZR2 was $8,195 more expensive than the previous year.
In the High Country, the V8 5.7 is the standard engine, accompanied by 22-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a passenger display, and Super Cruise. This configuration also includes unique trim and suspension features, including adaptive ride control.
The Custom Trail Boss combines a two-inch lift with 34-inch tires. The ZR2, on the other hand, features 35-inch tires, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and electronic front and rear locking differentials, with the Duramax 3.0 turbodiesel as the standard engine and the V8 6.6 as an option.
Chevrolet announces that the 2027 Silverado 1500 will be assembled at General Motors facilities in North America. For the United States, sales are expected to begin by the end of 2026; the company has not yet disclosed pricing or an official timeline for the new generation in Brazil.
