Chinese Company Creates 4×4 Vehicle With Features Very Similar To The Best-Selling Jeep Wrangler
Buying a 4×4 vehicle capable of tackling any terrain is certainly not something cheap. The most well-known brand in the industry is undoubtedly Jeep, a company that is notoriously recognized for the quality of its vehicles and ability to go over almost anything in its path. Known for creating vehicles strikingly similar to successful vehicles from major brands all over the world, the Chinese BAIC took considerable inspiration from the Jeep Wrangler to create its SUV.
Although it is very unlikely that these 4×4 vehicles will gain much market share outside of China, some countries have a closer proximity to the Asian country, opening the doors for some of these copies. One of these countries is Pakistan, where the BAIC BJ40 Plus has become a best-seller.
The Jeep Wrangler is a 4×4 vehicle that is popular all over the world. Because of this, BAIC certainly relied on copying as much of the car as possible to try to boost sales since it is notoriously much cheaper. See below for some very similar details.

When placed side by side, the similarity between the Jeep Wrangler and the Chinese version is evident. The doors are almost identical, with even small details of the Jeep’s side being mirrored in the Chinese version. Even the wheel arches are quite similar. The alloy wheels are another similar point.
