Brand President in Latin America Speaks Out
Antonio Filosa claims that electrification is growing increasingly, especially in Asian and European countries. In Brazil, this process may take a bit longer compared to other countries. He states that Stellantis aims to import cars from various brands to better understand the Brazilian market’s acceptance of these new technologies. By the end of 2021, the country is expected to receive the Fiat 500, the Jeep Compass, one Peugeot, and another Citroën.
Thus, we can await the confirmed electric vehicles in the country, such as the models from Fiat, Peugeot, and Jeep, as well as the Citroën model, which has yet to be revealed.
Stellantis’ intention is to boost the Peugeot and Citroën brands, aiming for their electric cars to reach the level of Fiat and Jeep in terms of sales and market share, a strategy that will also apply to the electric vehicle segment.
Possible Electric Cars from Citroën That Should Arrive Soon in Brazil
Citroën has launched the ë-C4, its 100% electric version based on the latest generation of the C4, an electric car that has a high probability of coming to Brazil. Another likely option would be the plug-in hybrid C5 Aircross.
The Citroën ë-C4 features several elements found in other electric cars from the PSA Group, such as a 50 kWh battery and a 136 horsepower motor. This ensures a range of approximately 350 km on a single charge.
