Ciee Opens Over 600 Internship and Young Apprentice Positions with Scholarships Up to 2,000 Reais in Campinas, São Paulo

In total, there are 666 positions available, including 420 internships and 246 youth apprenticeship positions. The value of the stipend can reach up to R$ 2 thousand

The Company-School Integration Center (Ciee) opened 666 positions for internships and youth apprentices in February in the municipality of Campinas. The areas of focus are engineering, law, administration, and communication, with stipends potentially reaching up to R$ 2 thousand. The internships are available at technical, high school, and higher education levels.

The Ciee Campinas also covers other municipalities such as Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, Paulínia, Americana, Hortolândia, Indaiatuba, Sumaré, Vinhedo, Monte Mor, Valinhos, Cosmópolis, Nova Odessa, Artur Nogueira, and Elias Fausto, in addition to the metropolitan region.

Internships

The internship options are available for individuals aged 16 years or older. Most positions are for students in technical courses in administration. Positions for high school students are also in this area.

In the field of higher education, the forecast for this month is more opportunities for pedagogy students, in addition to the already open positions. This is due to the return of in-person classes in schools due to the vaccination against Covid-19.

The city hall of Santa Bárbara d’Oeste is conducting an open selection process, as are other city halls that are hiring. The announcements are being finalized for the selection process to take place.

There are also positions available in law, engineering, administration, technology (information technology, systems analysis), and communication (public relations, advertising, and marketing).

Youth Apprentice Program

The youth apprentice program offers options for high school students or candidates who have already completed it, in addition to students finishing elementary school. A large part of the openings in February are for young people aged 15 to 18 years. 

Depending on the company, there are different profiles. For example, in cases like cashiers in stores or supermarkets and production assistants, it is not allowed for the positions to be filled by minors.

For the youth apprentice program, candidates must be under 23 years old, but it is common for companies to offer youth apprentice positions to individuals up to 21 years old.

Benefits of Internship and Youth Apprentice Positions

For those hired for youth apprentice positions, there is a contract under CLT, thus receiving a minimum wage. For interns, there is a variation in the stipend value, depending on the level of education. For engineering positions, it can reach up to R$ 2 thousand, while for law positions, it is around R$ 1,5 thousand. For high school positions, the stipend is around R$ 700. The maximum working hours are 30 hours per week, both for the internship program and for youth apprentices.
