Ambar Energy Inaugurates First Solar Power Plant Aiming to Supply Two Slaughterhouses. Expectations Are High, Given the Investment Made in São Paulo to Have Its Own Generation in a Renewable Way, Since It Will Supply the Demand of Several Customers.

Last Thursday (07/14), the Brazilian company operating in the energy sector, Ambar Energy, part of the J&F Investimentos group, inaugurated the Ambar Saltinho Photovoltaic Plant, located in the interior of São Paulo. The new plant is the first inaugurated by the company, which began investments in the solar energy generation sector in 2021.

To Complete the Works, R$ 23 Million Was Invested in the Solar Power Plant

It is important to highlight that the project had an investment of around R$ 23 million. The new Saltinho system consists of four plants, which together have 9,408 photovoltaic panels. Thus, this renewable energy will supply the demand of various clients, including Swift and other integrated producers from Seara, both part of JBS.

Another surprising news is that the homes of employees from the entire J&F group in the region will also be supplied with solar energy generated by Ambar Saltinho, with a discount on the distributor’s bill.

In total, the four plants have a capacity of 5,174 kWp, which is equivalent to the energy consumed by 2,800 homes, for example. The new system will prevent the emission of 12,193 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere, which is equivalent to planting 4,000 new trees per month, making it not only a great measure for the company but also significantly benefiting the environment.

“The inauguration of the Ambar Saltinho PV Plant is a milestone in our growth strategy in renewable energies. We will invest more than R$ 6.5 billion just in solar generation by 2025,” said Marcelo Zanata, President of Ambar Energy.

In addition to investments in PV plants scattered across the country, Ambar is also investing in the construction of micro plants on the properties of its own clients, such as on the roofs of Swift stores. Currently, in the portfolio produced by Ambar Energy in Distributed Generation, there are 58 of these photovoltaic plants in commercial operation, five awaiting connection, and three under construction, totaling 2,185 kWp, in six distribution concessions in the Southeast.

Understand a Little About Ambar Energy and Its Investments in Various Brazilian Regions

Ambar Energy is a company that develops, implements, and explores projects in the Thermal Generation, Transmission, and Energy Commercialization segments, enabling contributions to the new challenges of expansion, maximization, and diversification of the Brazilian energy matrix.

Ambar has a team of professionals with extensive experience in the sector, who identify opportunities and create projects that meet the challenges of the National Interconnected System (SIN). This system encompasses the five regions of Brazil and includes installations operated by private, public, and mixed companies, supervised by ANEEL.

In the Transmission sector, Ambar Energy has diversified and complete transmission lines and electrical substations in the States of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, and the Federal District.

Thus, Ambar Energy, the company leading the Cuiabá Integrated Project, has as its main points of work respect for the environment and safety, both for its employees and for the communities where it operates. Therefore, the company has been increasingly seeking to invest in renewable energy means that can contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions and other gases that may harm the environment and the communities in which the company operates.
