According to information released by CNN Brasil, the Dutch brewery Heineken completed the first half of this year with a net profit of €1.27 billion – a figure slightly higher than the profit obtained in the same period last year, which was €1.03 billion. The company’s balance sheet was published last Monday (the 1st).
Analysts previously consulted by FactSet expected the semiannual profit to be €1.11 billion. Thus, the official result exceeded their expectations.
Profit Before Exceptional Items and Amortization Also Saw Growth
The profit before exceptional items and amortization of intangible assets related to acquisitions was €1.33 billion, representing a year-over-year expansion of 40% between January and June of this year. This is one of the preferred metrics used by Heineken.
