With the market demanding more than 800 thousand Information Technology professionals by 2025, several companies are offering specialization courses to fill open IT positions
According to the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Digital Technologies (Brasscom), in its recent research last year, the estimate is that the country will have a demand for close to 800 thousand professionals by 2025 in the programming, development, and other sectors. Thus, there will be 160 thousand IT vacancies per year, just in Brazil. And for those who think it is a very high estimate, the institution’s statistics projected, in 2019, more than 55 thousand IT vacancies in 2021, and only until September of last year the sector had already hired more than 123 thousand new professionals. The words of the CEO of Shawee and COO of Edtech Rocketseat, Rodrigo Terron, emphasize that Brazil needs to create an ‘army of new IT professionals by 2025’.

CEO of Shawee Says New Information Technology Professionals Seek Jobs Outside of Brazil
The projections show a labor crisis in the Information Technology sector, considering that the higher education system in the country produces around 50 thousand professionals annually, in a market that has needs of R$ 154 billion in software, in-house IT, and TIC services in 2020, equivalent to 1.7% of the GDP of last year, which is R$ 8.7 trillion.
According to the CEO of Shawee and COO of Edtech Rocketseat, Rodrigo Terron, many talents during the home office period in the pandemic began filling IT vacancies in companies from other countries, contributing to the increased demand for programmers and developers. Rodrigo works in companies focused on training these professionals.

100 Thousand New Programmers by Next Year

Rodrigo plans to generate more than 100 thousand Information Technology professionals in his training schools to fill IT vacancies by 2023, which amounts to 20% of the need.
Currently, his specialization courses in the sector have 25 thousand students, and the executive states that the greatest demand is for senior software developers, who can expect salaries ranging from R$ 12 to R$ 25 thousand, depending on the currency they receive, such as dollars or euros.
Rocketseat Offers Courses at an International Level
The company led by Rodrigo focuses on specialization, with more than half of its students already in IT jobs in the market. The Brazilian in the Information Technology sector stands shoulder to shoulder with other professionals worldwide, mastering important programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and React.JS, and the company has leading professionals in the major international big techs.
The spark in the powder will be to expand Information Technology to more people and eliminate the barriers so that more people can have access to quality education and internet infrastructure.
