To face the deficit of professionals, Senai PR is offering 600 places in free distance learning courses for the Information Technology (IT) sector, with classes starting on December 13

The National Industrial Learning Service (Senai) is offering several free courses in the Information Technology (IT) sector in PR. In total, around 600 vacancies are being offered for classes with classes, starting next Monday (13), distributed among three qualification options. It is worth mentioning that Senai PR's free courses will be offered in the connected distance learning modality, and for each course there are 200 vacancies.

All the details about Senai PR's free distance learning courses in the IT area

The courses offered in the Information Technology sector are: Technical Fundamentals of IT, Introduction to Systems Programming, Infrastructure Management and IT Services. According to the institution, free professional development courses are being offered to people across the state, as classes will be taught over the internet.

Information Technology students will be able to follow classes until December 22, through the Microsoft Teams platform, at night, from 19:22 pm to 30:XNUMX pm.

With free courses in the IT sector, Senai PR students will have access to new opportunities in the job market. According to Jacielle Feltrin Vila Verde Ribeiro, education and business manager at the institution, the aim is to train participants and fill vacancies available in the Information Technology sector, which currently has an accumulated deficit that exceeds 70 professionals.

Registration for Senai PR's free Information Technology courses can be done through the FIEP System website, where other important information about each of the opportunities can be found.

Registration will remain open until the 13th, according to the institution. It is also worth mentioning that it is not necessary for candidates to have prior knowledge in the sector in order to participate in the classes, the requirements are only to be 14 years old or older and have completed elementary school, in addition to availability to attend classes in the distance learning modality, in the established times and dates.

The offer available now comprises a Senai PR project to meet the demand of the Information Technology sector. The aim is to offer a total of 79 free learning, professional qualification and improvement courses.

Shortage of IT professionals

The Information Technology sector has been facing a shortage of professionals for some time now. The projection is that in Brazil, this shortage will reach the mark of 408 job openings by 2022. Therefore, the accumulated losses between 2010 and 2020 already hit the mark of R$167 billion.

Currently, Brazil occupies the position of 10th largest market in the world in the sector. In Latin America, it is the leader and accounts for 40% of the total. Therefore, the country must face the shortage of labor to not let the chance to be a reference in the sector pass.
