In Brazil, Iveco is celebrating strong sales results. Therefore, there is high anticipation for the launch of gas trucks in the country. According to the company, the new option is already in testing. However, the company has not revealed details about the models. According to Iveco’s leader for South America, Márcio Querichelli, there are already interested parties in the new truck. But the brand opted to launch the innovation in neighboring countries due to better-developed infrastructure.
“We plan to roll out our entire portfolio of vehicles that we have in Europe,” says Querichelli. According to him, the models will be adapted for the Brazilian market. The launch depends on infrastructure and incentives.

Iveco Has a Large Market in Europe
According to information released by Estadão, in Spain, the transport company ESP Solutions has also chosen Iveco’s gas trucks. By doing so, it will reduce emission levels from its operations. The company has acquired 300 units of the S-Way Natural Power truck. This is the largest deal of its kind involving a Spanish company. According to the company, the purchase represents 30% of its fleet. By 2022, half of the company’s trucks, which transport food and medicines throughout Europe, will be powered by gas.
According to the company, this number will jump to 80% by 2027. With the new trucks, the company aims to eliminate 2,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually. This is equivalent to planting 279,000 trees.
