Society is still struggling against some obstacles generated by the pandemic, and it is essential that companies and institutions exercise their social roles to encourage new opportunities for jobs and income. With that in mind, the new partnership between Ambev, Senai and Positiva Engenharia resulted in the Training Project in Civil Construction, which is offering several free courses for low-income people or people with no access to income in Maranhão, making professionalization and insertion in the job market, which was previously a distant dream, into a close reality.

Initially, 40 vacancies will be offered for the civil construction project in Maranhão, 20 of them for Masonry, which will take place in the morning shift, and 20 vacancies for Painter of Real Estate Works, for the afternoon shift.

Enrollment began on September 28th and will last until October 7th, with limited vacancies and selected in chronological order of enrollment, taking into account the requirements for access to the program, with the possibility of extending enrollment if all vacancies offered by Ambev, Senai and Positiva are not completely filled.

Classes for the free civil construction course in Maranhão are scheduled to begin on October 11th, with completion scheduled for December 7th, fulfilling the 160-hour workload of the training program.

How to enroll in free courses from Ambev and Senai?

To enroll in the free civil construction courses in Maranhão, candidates must access the fiema website and register.

It is worth noting that candidates must meet the following prerequisites:

• Be 18 years of age or older;
• incomplete primary education;
• Being on a low income.

The results will be announced on October 8, on the same website and at Senai units, located in the Industrial District and Monte Castelo neighborhoods. The courses will be taught by Senai professors and made available at the Mobile Unit, which has a workshop and adequate classroom.

The mobile unit will be parked on Rua da Vitória, in the Parque Vitória neighborhood, in the city of São José de Ribamar, next to the UBS. Practical classes will also be held at Positiva Engenharia's field-laboratory at the same address.

Civil construction industry in Maranhão

In recent years, the sector has performed well in Maranhão, with increased activity, mainly through government programs such as Minha Casa Minha Vida, which has brought positive impacts to the sector.

The segment also experienced intense growth due to the installation of shopping centers and retail chains. Thus, business, real estate offers, ventures and new jobs increased. The projection is that civil construction in the state will continue with a reasonable pace of activities until the end of the year.
