Chinese Electric Hatch Comes to Brazil in November with a Promise to Compete with Established Rivals, Bringing an Estimated Price of R$ 150 Thousand, a Range Above 300 Km Under National Standards, and a Robust Package of Technology and Safety.
The electric hatch Geely Geome Xingyuan will make its debut in Brazil in November, rebranded as EX2.
The arrival will position it as an entry-level option among 100% electric compacts, with an estimated price of around R$ 150 thousand and a direct focus on rivals like BYD Dolphin, GWM Ora 03, and Chevrolet Spark EUV.
In the Chinese cycle, the declared range reaches 410 km (CLTC).

Less than a Tera TSI, up to 710 km of range and charging in 9 minutes: the new BYD Song Ultra expands the Chinese brand’s bet on increasingly faster, more technological, and competitively priced electric SUVs.
-
With a 1.0 engine producing 75 hp and costing less than R$ 70,000, Fiat’s car returns to the podium as the cheapest in the country; a temporary promotion for the 2026 Like version reduces the price of the Fiat Mobi.
-
With a mild hybrid system of 48 V, 176 hp and a price of R$ 175,990 in the Sahara version, the new Jeep Renegade changes mostly on the inside, improves slightly in fuel consumption, and remains almost the same car.
-
With a 293.5 cm³ engine and a range of up to 400 km with a 14.1-liter tank, the Honda CB 300F Twister 2026 has up to 24.7 hp, an initial price of R$ 25,150, and already exceeds R$ 29,000 in the Fipe Table.
Under Brazilian standards, the projection is slightly above 300 km.
The horizontal multimedia center will be the dominant element of the dashboard, and the safety package is expected to include active aids and up to six airbags.
Launch and Price in Brazil
The local strategy maintains the EX2 as Geely’s entry point in the country, below the electric SUV EX5, which began sales in July and serves as the brand’s technological showcase.
For the hatch, distributors indicate a price range of R$ 150 thousand, a value that places it alongside established electric compacts.
Although the brand has yet to finalize the pricing, the idea is to mirror the positioning that the Xingyuan occupies in China, where it starts at 68,800 yuan and goes up to 97,800 yuan for the more complete versions.
Network and Partnership with Renault

To accelerate sales and after-sales, Geely operates in Brazil in partnership with Renault.
The agreement provides for the use of the French manufacturer’s network and infrastructure, with planned expansion to 105 dealerships after the initial phase.
The cooperation also paves the way for future industrialization at the Ayrton Senna Complex in São José dos Pinhais (PR), subject to regulatory stages.
What Explains the Strength in China
While preparing for its national debut, the EX2 arrives backed by impressive results in the Chinese market.
In August 2025, the Xingyuan recorded 48,011 units and topped the monthly ranking of models, ahead of competitors like the BYD Seagull.
From January to August, it totaled 297,803 units, a performance that supports the narrative of being a best-seller of the year in the Asian country.
In the 1st half, it had already surpassed the mark of 200 thousand cars.
Range and Efficiency

In the Chinese cycle (CLTC), the more efficient versions of the Xingyuan achieve 410 km.
Recent experience with the EX5 in Brazil shows that the Inmetro homologation usually reduces these numbers compared to the Asian standard.
Therefore, the industry’s expectation is for something above 300 km for the EX2 in national territory.
This difference arises from the more conservative measurement procedures here.
Safety Features and Connectivity
In China, the hatch offers six airbags, AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), lane alert/maintenance, and other L2 level assisted driving functions, as well as a central unit with a 14.6″ screen and the Flyme Auto system.
For Brazil, the final list may vary by package, but the trend is to replicate the highlights of active safety and the extensive digital interface, as these are part of the model’s commercial appeal.
Dimensions, Space, and Usability

With 4.135 m in length and 2.650 m in wheelbase, the EX2 aims for good usable space in the rear seat and a versatile trunk for the category.
The dimensions place it up against compacts like the BYD Dolphin, with a slight advantage in width.
The architecture includes rear-wheel drive and independent suspension, a configuration valued by urban audiences that alternate between family and professional use.
Direct Competition and Price References
The EX2 lands in a segment that gained momentum in the last year.
The BYD Dolphin has established prices starting from R$ 149,990 in recent offers.
The GWM Ora 03 operates in a higher range, targeting consumers willing to pay for finer finishes and more advanced driving assistance.
Chevrolet has returned to investing in entry-level electrics with the Spark EUV advertised on its official website.

In this landscape, Geely’s goal is to compete on cost-benefit by offering a broad safety package and sufficient range for daily use.
What Still Needs Confirmation
Despite the November timeline indicated by industry sources and the reference price circulated by the network, the brand has not detailed versions, finalized equipment, and the autonomy certified by Inmetro.
These items are expected to be disclosed as the commercial launch approaches.
Until then, the sales history in China and the partnership with Renault serve as a business card for a compact that arrives with ambitious volume goals.
With this package, the Geely EX2 has the potential to shake up the entry-level electric rankings in Brazil within the first two months after its launch, or will the competition respond with price cuts and new equipment?
