New Firefighters Contest PI for High School Candidates Is About to Arrive. Stay Updated on the Main Information and Requirements.
The Firefighters Contest PI (Fire Department of the State of Piauí), aimed at high school candidates, is expected to see an increase in its vacancies. Despite the initial forecast of 200 vacancies for soldiers, with 100 for immediate filling and 100 to form a reserve list, the government announced last Sunday (12) that this number in the public contest is set to double to 400, with 200 immediate and 200 for reserve lists.

The selection process for the Firefighters Contest PI was announced again by the Secretary of Public Security, Chico Lucas, at the beginning of January. However, the date for the publication of the notice is yet to be confirmed. New information is expected to be released soon.
The public contest for high school candidates already has an organizing committee defined, which is the Nucleus of Competitions and Event Promotion of the State University of Piauí. Only after the contract is signed will a precise date for the publication of the notice be confirmed.

Those approved in the Firefighters 2023 contest will receive an initial salary of R$ 3,294. Among the required qualifications are a complete high school education or equivalent, and a minimum height (men must be at least 1.60m tall, while women must be at least 1.55m tall).
The minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum is 30 years at the time of registration for the public contest. Other requirements to enter the position include being a native or naturalized Brazilian, being up to date with electoral obligations, having a clean public and private conduct, being current with military service, and being a Reservist of the Armed Forces, among others.
Documents Required for the Public Contest of Firefighters of PI
Colonel José Arimatéia Rêgo de Araújo, commander of the Fire Department of the State of Piauí, made some essential statements regarding the possibility of the new public contest for high school candidates.
The representative informed that the state government authorized the conduct of the contest and that the authorization was issued last week. He also outlined the next steps to be taken from now on. Araújo states that he will prepare the terms of reference, the notice, and will proceed with the process.
Among the necessary documents for registration in the public contest are the Birth or Marriage Certificate, CIC/CPF, PIS or PASEP (if registered in one of them), proof of fulfillment of electoral obligations, original voter registration card and a copy, Certificate of Conclusion of the Soldier Training Course (CFSd) according to the regulatory standards of the Course, and military behavior declaration for Reservists of the Armed Forces, as well as ex-privates from Military Police or Military Fire Departments.
Learn How the Last Firefighters Contest PI Went
The last public contest for high school candidates took place in 2017, with its objective tests on November 19 of the same year. In total, there were 110 immediate vacancies. The initial salary for the Soldier position was R$ 3,294.99, following Law 6.173/2012.
The contest included a knowledge exam with objective and essay tests, health examination, Physical Aptitude Test, Social Investigation, Psychological Examination, and Training Course. The objective test lasted 5 hours, with 60 multiple-choice questions, comprising a structure of 12 questions in Portuguese Language, 6 in Chemistry, 10 in Mathematics, 6 in Physics, and 6 in Basic Computing. In Specific Knowledge, there were 20 questions distributed between Institutional Legislation and Basic Law.
