1,050 openings for male candidates
50 openings for female candidates
There will be reserved openings for people with disabilities

Requirements To Register For The Exam

To compete for an opening in the São Paulo Penal Police, candidates must meet some requirements, according to the Penal Police Statute, which are as follows:

Be a Brazilian citizen
Be up to date with military and electoral obligations
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
Be between 18 and 35 years old
Have a minimum height of 1.60m for men and 1.55m for women
Possess a National Driving License (CNH) category “B” or higher
Present good physical and mental health, certified by a state or accredited physician
Pass all stages of the public exam
Undergo drug testing during the stages of the exam and the probationary period
Not have certain types of tattoos

Salary And Benefits In The Penal Police SP Exam

The salary offered for the penal police is R$3,515.72, composed of R$1,757.86 in basic salary and R$1,757.86 in Special Police Work Regime (RETP). There is also a hazard pay, amounting to R$785.67, raising the total salary to R$4,301.39.

In addition, there are additional benefits, such as transportation assistance and food assistance. The amount of these benefits may vary according to the region of assignment of the server.

It is worth noting that the São Paulo Penal Police Exam is valid for the entire state. Therefore, those approved may be assigned to any prison facility within the state.
