ESA Competition Opens 1,095 Positions for High School Graduates with Salaries Up to R$ 5,000 per Month

New ESA Notice Was Launched This Week With Thousands of Vacancies for Candidates With Complete High School Who Want to Join the Army.

This week, the ESA 2023/2024 public competition notice was published, aiming to train new sergeants next year. The School of Sergeant of Arms has 1,095 opportunities for high school graduates of both sexes who wish to join the Army. There are opportunities in various areas. The positions are aimed at those who have completed high school, with very attractive earnings.

The notice with the rules of the ESA competition was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Friday (10). Of the total vacancies opened, 905 are for male candidates for the General or Aviation area, with 181 spots allocated to the black quota.

About 105 vacancies are for female candidates for the same sector, with 21 spots for the black quota. 55 are for candidates in the Health area, with 11 allocated for black candidates. The remaining 30 vacancies are for the music area, divided among the following instruments:

  • Baritone Saxhorn in C/Bass Saxhorn in C (4);
  • Clarinet in B/Clarinet in C (9);
  • Tuba in B/Tuba in C (2)
  • Euphonium (1)
  • Tenor Trombone in C (slide)/Bass Trombone in C (slide)(6);
  • Cornet in C/Flugelhorn in C – Trumpet in B/C (6);
  • Horn in F (2).

The approved and appointed candidates in the Course of Training and Graduation of Sergeants will be appointed as 3rd Sergeant. According to information from the CGU Transparency Portal, the starting salary is R$ 3,825.

Requirements to Compete for Job Vacancies

For those who wish to compete for the opportunities in the public competition, it is necessary to have completed high school. If you are still in your last year of this level of schooling, enrollment in the course will be allowed if proof of completion of schooling is provided by the date expected for the start of training.

For the general area, candidates must be at least 17 and at most 24 years old, and for the music and health areas, candidates must be at least 17 and at most 26 years old. Regarding height, male candidates must be at least 1.60m tall, and this requirement does not apply to candidates who are under 17 years old, provided they have a minimum height of 1.57m and a specialized examination that indicates the possibility of growth. For female candidates, the minimum height requirement is 1.55m.

Music area candidates must demonstrate proficiency in executing scores with the corresponding musical instrument for one of the sections covered, to be verified through a specific musical qualification exam for the Admission Competition.

Those in the Health sector must have completed the technical nursing course or have a higher education degree in nursing by the date of their presentation at the Army Technological School Unit. A registration with the Coren will be required.

Learn How to Register for the ESA Public Competition

Those interested in competing for the vacancies in the ESA public competition must meet all requirements and also register online. The registration period will be from March 13 to April 26, and interested individuals should access the School of Sergeant of Arms website and fill out the entire registration form. However, the confirmation of registration will only occur after the payment of the fee.

The fee is R$ 95 for all fields and genders, with exemptions for children of disabled World War II veterans, members of low-income families, bone marrow donors, or registered in CadÚnico. The exemption request period will be from March 13 to March 17.
