With a Capacity of 4,000 Tons, the XCMG XCA4000 Redefines Heavy Lifting, Being Crucial for the Installation of Giant Wind Turbines and Holding the Title of Largest Wheel Crane in the World.

The XCMG XCA4000 asserts its presence as a landmark of modern engineering. It is recognized as the largest wheel crane in the world. Its impressive nominal capacity reaches 4,000 tons. This giant is a direct response to growing industrial demands.

Its main mission is to enable the installation of large-scale wind turbines. The equipment is crucial for lifting heavy components to extreme heights. It overcomes significant challenges in renewable energy projects, demonstrating its strategic importance in the sector.

The XCA4000 as the Largest Wheel Crane in the World

The XCMG XCA4000 has emerged as a true titan in heavy lifting equipment engineering. Its nominal capacity of 4,000 tons firmly establishes it at the top. Various industry sources confirm its status.

It is indeed the largest wheel crane in the world at the time of its launch. This launch represents a significant milestone for XCMG. The company has surpassed its own world record for capacity for the seventh time with this equipment. This achievement underscores a trend of increasing dimensions and capacities of cranes.

The design of the XCA4000 was primarily conceived for a specific and crucial application. It aims at the installation of large wind turbines. These are typically those with a capacity of 10MW or more. Its ability to lift 230 tons to a height of 170 meters is essential. This feature is especially important for assembling the nacelles and blades of modern giant wind turbines.

The development of the largest wheel crane in the world directly responds to the evolution of the wind energy sector. Turbines are getting larger, heavier, and installed at hub heights reaching 170 meters or more.

Innovation and Technology Behind the Power of the Colossus on Wheels

The XCMG XCA4000 stands out not only for its gross capacity. It incorporates significant technological advancements. One of the most cited innovations is the high-performance flexible boom technology. This technology aims to increase efficiency and safety in complex operations. It allows for an impressive reduction of 20-30% in the time required to install a wind turbine.

Furthermore, the crane is equipped with smart control systems self-developed by XCMG. Safety is another priority, evidenced by active safety technology. More than a dozen sensors on the boom detect and assist in eliminating hazards in real time.

The Largest Wheel Crane in the World in Action

The true test of the XCMG XCA4000 lies in its operational performance. It already has a track record of successful lifts. In its first job, at a wind farm in Jing County, China, the crane lifted a 130-ton nacelle, a 40-ton cube, and three blades of 28 tons each.

All components were raised to a height of 162 meters. Subsequently, at the Zero Carbon Industrial Park project in Ordos, the XCA4000 installed components of a 12.5 MW turbine. It lifted a nacelle and drive train of 117 tons, as well as blades of 35 tons each, to an impressive height of 190 meters. These operations demonstrate its remarkable efficiency and precision.

Impressionante!!!
