Construction Industry In The City Of Volta Redonda, In Rio De Janeiro, Is Expected To Gain Many Job Opportunities With The Beginning Of A Large Real Estate Development
The construction industry is becoming one of the engines of the economic recovery, generating many job opportunities, according to Caged (General Register of Employed and Unemployed). One of the great examples in Rio de Janeiro is Volta Redonda, a municipality that had a positive balance of 373 job openings compared to the jobs that were closed in the month of April.
As reported by Diário Do Vale, the largest city in Sul Fluminense is receiving another large real estate development that is expected to boost the construction sector in the city. In the construction of a high-standard residential building in the Bela Vista neighborhood, the expectation is that around 300 job openings will be generated.
Luiz Olympio, director of Loagi, the construction company responsible for the project, states that the development will generate around 1,300 indirect job opportunities, totaling 1,500 jobs: “For every job created in Construction, four others occur indirectly in other sectors of the economy.”

Construction Industry Is Responsible For 15% Of Job Creation In Volta Redonda
Sérgio Sodré, secretary of economic development in Volta Redonda, highlighted that the construction sector is responsible for 15% of job creation in Volta Redonda. The city has also recorded over 1,600 job openings in the first four months of the year.

“The heating of a particular sector will evidently help the others. We are very positive regarding the Construction Industry, which is the third largest job creator in the city in the quadrimester, only behind Industry (51%) and Services (30%). The trend is for this employability to increase this year,” projected the secretary.
The construction industry is one of the key drivers of economic recovery. Investments generate thousands of job opportunities across the country, making it a fundamental sector to help the country recover from the economic crisis.
