Firefighters Selection Process in SP Offers Opportunities in 16 Cities. Check Available Positions for Candidates with Completed Elementary Education and Offered Salaries.
Applications for the São Paulo State Military Police Firefighters selection process are officially open, aiming to fill 600 positions for the Temporary Lifeguard (GVTD) role.
Selected candidates will work both on the beaches of the São Paulo coast and in inland water environments, such as rivers and reservoirs with public access in São Paulo. The hiring period is five months, from November 2023 to March 2024, covering the high summer season.
Requirements to Participate in the Positions of the São Paulo State Military Police Firefighters Selection Process
Those interested in competing for one of the positions must have a minimum education of elementary school and be at least 18 years old. The salary is R$ 1,850, in addition to benefits such as transportation vouchers and meal vouchers.

Completely free of charge, the applications are the responsibility of the Maritime Firefighters Group (GBMar).
The form will be available on the São Paulo Fire Department website until November 21, 2023. There will also be the option for in-person assistance; those interested should visit one of the following Fire Department units from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

Firefighters SP Selection Process: Stages
The Firefighters SP selection process will include the following stages:
- Analysis of the required documents for hiring;
- Social Investigation; and
- Conducting practical technical skill tests.
The last stage of the selection process is scheduled for November 22, 2023, starting at 9 a.m. Candidates will undergo swimming and running tests.
It will be necessary to swim 200 meters in a pool within a maximum time of six minutes and run/walk a distance of 1,000 meters within a maximum time of eight minutes.
