The Sorento V6 cost R$ 218,990 when this configuration arrived in Brazil
In April 2018, AUTOO registered the arrival of the Kia Sorento versions with AWD to the Brazilian market. The 2.4 AWD model was priced at R$ 169,990, while the Sorento S.275 with V6 engine and AWD was offered for R$ 218,990.
Compared to the current FIPE price of R$ 135,193, there is a nominal difference of R$ 83,797. This decline explains how a model that once occupied a range close to large and premium SUVs is now competing, in terms of purchase budget, with new compact vehicles.
However, the depreciation affects the car’s price, not necessarily the cost of parts and maintenance. The Sorento remains a vehicle that was designed for a significantly higher price category.
