For this Friday, (10/03), the state-owned company moves in the global oil and gas market in search of new partnerships in the segment. The new president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, was present at the CERAWeek conference, in Houston, USA, which is taking place this week, to discuss future cooperation in the segment with major oil companies in the scenario. The objective is to boost exploration and research projects on the global stage over the next few years.

Petrobras' participation in the international oil and gas conference CERAWeek is bringing great results for the company's future on the global stage.
In addition to addressing the main expectations for the segment in the coming years, the current president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, is looking for new partnerships with large oil companies around the world.

He was present in Houston to discuss cooperation with the multinationals BP, Petronas, TotalEnergies and Equinor, aiming at a mutual contribution in the oil and gas sector.
According to the state-owned company itself, the meetings with the major players in the sector “aim at future cooperation for an energetic transition and implementation of new technologies in the oil and gas sector”.
After assuming the presidency of the state-owned company in January, recommended by the Lula Government, Prates has been highlighting his commitment to the growth of investments in renewable energies in the company.
In addition to meetings with oil companies, Petrobras also signed, during CERAWeek, an agreement with Equinor for the development of seven offshore wind projects in Brazil. They can cost 70 billion dollars, thus guaranteeing a strong attraction of investments to the national market.
Prates reinforced Petrobras' position regarding joint projects in the oil and gas sector with multinational oil companies at CERAWEEK
Prates was in a meeting with the CEO of BP, Bernard Looney, during the conference, and highlighted that both companies intend to work together in the oil and gas sector.
"We are going to proceed with mutual visits to deepen discussions both in the area of exploration and production and energy transition", said the current president of the state-owned company.
In addition, he pointed out that both BP and other companies in the sector can work in cooperation with the state-owned company in carbon capture projects in the Amazon and mangrove regions.
The state-owned company also signaled that Petronas has shown interest in supporting oil production projects Diesel renewable with the company.
The energy transition agenda in the global market was also at the center of Prates' conversations with TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanne and Equinor CEO Anders Opedal, the company added.
