Petrobras Announced the Results of the Bidding to Hire Large, Medium, and Super Medium Helicopters for Four Years, Starting Operations Between This Year and Next Year.
Instead of 20 aircraft, as originally planned, 19 units were selected, since the oil company canceled the hiring of one helicopter that was to start operations in 2021.
Líder Aviação took eight aircraft, consisting of five S92 models and three S76C++. The first will operate from the airports of Cabo Frio, Jacarepaguá, and Macaé, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and the latter from Vitória (ES).

New Project in the Chamber Establishes New Parameters for Oil Royalty Distribution
Exploration companies for oil, shale, and natural gas must compensate 8% of the product value, with half going to states and half to municipalities. Currently, the Oil Law (9,478/97) guarantees greater financial compensation to states and municipalities where extraction occurs. Under the law, compensation of up to 5% of production is divided as follows: 70% of royalties go to producing states; 20% to producing municipalities; and 10% to municipalities affected by oil and natural gas loading and unloading operations.
The proposal is being processed conclusively and will be analyzed by the committees on Mines and Energy; Economic Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services; Finance and Taxation; and Constitution and Justice and Citizenship.
