The Company Secured an Important New Chartering Agreement for Its ROV Research Vessel Geoholm. Without Revealing the Client’s Name, DOF Subsea Expands Its Offshore Support Services in the Brazilian Market with the New Contract.

The multinational maritime services company DOF Subsea has secured another important contract in the Brazilian market. It signed an agreement worth US$ 19 million for the chartering of its ROV research vessel, named Geoholm. The vessel will be used for a large subsea project, riser, and flowline (SURF) in the Brazilian offshore market over the next few months.

New Contract from DOF Subsea for the Chartering of the ROV Research Vessel Geoholm Marks Expansion of the Company’s Offshore Support Services in Brazil

The offshore support services company DOF Subsea is becoming increasingly present in the Brazilian oil and gas exploration market.

Now, it announced another major chartering agreement for its maritime fleet, this time for the ROV research vessel, Geoholm.

It stated that the vessel, measuring 85.7 meters in length, and its ROV would be used for a ‘large’ subsea project, riser, and flowline (SURF) in Brazil.

Despite this detail, the multinational company did not disclose the name of the client that signed the chartering agreement for the vessel. The information is expected to be released to the press over the coming weeks. 

According to DOF Subsea, the offshore research vessel Geoholm is expected to begin operations in Brazil as early as March 2023.

The contract, which will keep the vessel occupied for 180 days, is worth US$ 19 million for the firm period, with the client having the option to extend the contract.

This way, the support services company secures not only a new contract for the ROV vessel but also another expansion in the Brazilian market.

DOF Subsea acknowledged the importance of the new contract for the chartering of the ROV Geoholm in the national market as a step toward its growth in Brazil.

Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Subsea, celebrated the new agreement and expressed happiness with the company’s expansion in the national territory.

“I am very happy with this award in Brazil. We support the client in projects all over the world and enjoy our excellent relationship,” said the executive.

Regarding the company’s recent activities, DOF Subsea announced yesterday that it ordered four new ROVs from Forum Energy Technologies (FET).

Additionally, it announced that it received a contract extension from an undisclosed client for its subsea vessel Skandi Africa, which will remain chartered until 2025.

The new contracts from DOF Subsea for its offshore research vessel Geoholm, as well as other vessels, strengthen the company’s presence in the global maritime scenario.
