Unsold Cars By Tesla Fill Lots, Visible Even From Space By SpaceX, Due To Decline In Sales From Elon Musk’s Brand.

Tesla, the renowned electric vehicle manufacturer led by billionaire Elon Musk, is facing a challenging period with declining sales, despite maintaining steady production. As a result, large quantities of unsold vehicles are accumulating in the company’s lots. Can Tesla cars be seen from space? The number of electric vehicles that are not being distributed and continue to sit is so large that they can be seen from space by SpaceX, another Musk company. The situation raises questions about the strategies Tesla will adopt to manage this excess inventory and how it will affect its operations in the future.

Unsold Tesla Cars Can Be Seen By Satellite

The sales of electric vehicles from Elon Musk’s company have dropped significantly. The result is that the company has a lot full of cars that are seen by SpaceX from space.

A report from Sherwood features satellite images captured in March 2024, showing how the parking lots of the Gigafactory of Elon Musk’s company in Texas are considerably fuller of unsold Tesla cars compared to October 2023.

The year 2024 has been challenging for the multinational, with concerned investors and a slowdown in demand for electric cars, exacerbated by competition from cheaper alternatives, particularly from China. Additionally, Elon Musk’s behavior has been driving away potential buyers.

Meanwhile, the CEO has been investing his time and attention in other areas. The vote on his US$ 56 billion compensation package, scheduled for this week, may determine Musk’s future at Tesla.

The aforementioned report used satellite images and object detection analysis from SkyFi to spy from above the Tesla Gigafactory in the outskirts of Austin, Texas (USA).

By comparing a Thursday in October of last year with a Thursday in March of this year, it is possible to notice that the highlighted parking lots in the images are fuller of unsold Tesla cars.

This year has been a “nightmare” for Elon Musk’s brand, to the point that investors are worried about what is to come. Musk has stated that a new platform for the next generation of vehicles and a more affordable Tesla are not expected to materialize until 2025.

Several factors are at play. To start, automakers have noticed a slowdown in demand for fully electric vehicles. Additionally, there is a wave of cheaper alternatives, particularly from Chinese competitors, such as BYD.

Musk’s Temperament Affects Tesla Sales, Investors Claim

In addition to the cars seen by SpaceX from space and low sales, Elon Musk’s temperament and behavior have been driving away potential buyers, as highlighted by a group of investors. As if that weren’t enough, the entrepreneur has many other ventures taking up his time and attention, from launching megarafts at SpaceX to picking fights with ministers on X (formerly Twitter).

Still talking about the billionaire, Tesla shareholders will vote this week on the US$ 56 billion compensation package, amounting to nearly R$ 300 billion for the CEO. This vote could change the businessman’s future in the company, at least according to a recent letter from Tesla’s chairwoman, Robyn Denholm.

It is worth mentioning that Musk stated in a post on his X profile that Tesla will not launch an updated Model Y in 2024. According to him, Tesla is continuously improving its cars, so even a car that is six months newer will be a little better.
