According to the director of the company, in 2022 the sanitation framework should put many projects in place also in the energy area and, for that, it will increase the number of generators

The company A Geradora, Brazilian leader in the energy generator, lighting tower and air compressor rental sector, has positive expectations for 2022. With the return of in-person events and the increase in demand for temporary energy, the increase in revenue it's more than expected. To meet the expected demand, the company intends to focus on renewing and expanding the equipment park, investing around R$ 50 million in the purchase of 500 new machines.

Other news:

Last year, A Geradora earned BRL 212 million, about 25% more than that recorded in 2020. According to the company's CEO, Enilson Moreira, the good revenue was mainly due to the provision of energy services temporary with generators and air compressors to serve industries; a significant part was from the petrochemical, maintenance and cellulose sectors.

“Brazilian companies practically only carried out essential maintenance stops in 2020 and postponed many until last year; A Geradora has a lot of expertise in providing this type of service and benefited from the increase in demand, which was repressed.” Business growth in this segment was 30% compared to previous years.

In 2020, the year in which A Geradora achieved revenues 30% above that recorded in 2019, it was remarkable due to the great need for field hospitals, both in the stage of building or adapting structures, as well as maintenance, mainly in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Pará, Goiás and Sergipe. “This was a new segment that emerged and demanded a lot of energy”, says Enilson Moreira.

Although the pandemic caused a crisis, the demand for energy did not decrease: industry, commerce, services and infrastructure maintained consumption. Enilson reaffirms that the company has not slowed down and, with that, managed to meet the needs of the market. “In 2020, we had better results than in 2019”, he adds.

Expectations for 2022

According to Candido Terceira, commercial and marketing director at A Geradora, in 2022 the sanitation milestone should “put many projects in motion”. The government hopes that the legal framework will allow for the application of resources in the segment and contribute to universalizing the supply of water and the collection and treatment of sewage in Brazil by 2033. The estimate is that private investments will be from R$ 600 billion to R$ $700 billion on sanitation.

For this sector, The Generator supplies electrical and pneumatic power equipment, including generators and air compressors. “We are also optimistic about the recovery of GDP and investments in infrastructure in the country. The possibility of the end of the pandemic, the sanitation milestone and the return to macroeconomic normality also represent good prospects for 2022”, he declares.

Another conjuncture that can increase the demand for generators is the energy crisis, which should return to the agenda in 2022. According to specialists in the sector and consultants in the energy sector, the biggest water crisis of the last 91 years should fall on consumer capital and on the companies' cash at least until 2025. “Each year, the drought period has been more severe and there is indeed a risk of blackouts during peak hours. Therefore, the demand for generators has already started to increase and the perspective is that in 2022 it will grow even more”, explains the director.
