On August 03, Itaú Unibanco opened its trainee positions, offering a salary that could reach around R$ 8 thousand. In summary, the selected professionals could choose between the “wholesale” and “retail” business modalities, and the expectation is that they will start working only in January 2023.

The novelty of this edition of trainee positions, which did not happen in previous years, is that starting now, those interested in being part of the program will have to attend in-person meetings in São Paulo (SP). Previously, during the pandemic crisis and the peak Covid-19 deaths, the institution had opted for a home office model where candidates could take the testing phases at their residences.

The trainee will have the opportunity, while working with Itaú, to apply their knowledge of financial market tools to expand what they learned in college. The journey will be conducted according to the manager of each of the professionals entering the job market.

Rules to Work as an Itaú Trainee

To work as an Itaú trainee, candidates must have graduated from any long-term course, with a minimum duration of 4 years, in areas such as Exact Sciences, Humanities, or Biological Sciences. In summary, the graduation must have occurred in December 2020, and candidates who have not yet graduated but expect to receive their diploma by July 2024 can also apply.

Another aspect emphasized by the bank is the availability of trainees to work at least 8 hours a day, from 9 AM to 6 PM. Additionally, it is necessary to reside in São Paulo (SP) and speak English (only for those opting for the Wholesale Business modality).

Understand How the Selection Process for the Itaú Trainee Program 2023 Will Happen

The selection process for the approval of candidates for trainee positions will occur through five different stages, with the first being registration, where applicants must submit their updated resume; online tests to better understand the work dynamics of the professional and their experiences regarding the job market; solving a problem; and finally, a group dynamics session with a final interview, held with the institution’s executives.

During the interview with the executives, candidates in the final phase will have the opportunity to learn more about the routine of employees working at the bank and the daily life of how the trainee career functions. There will be a more detailed presentation of the routine in addition to what is presented by the executives, which will occur through a live session sent via email.

Salary of R$ 8 Thousand and Many Benefits for Professionals in São Paulo (SP)

In addition to the salary, which can exceed R$ 8 thousand, candidates who apply for Itaú’s trainee program will be entitled to several benefits beyond this, such as:

The positions are highly competitive, as, according to the newspaper Extra, over 85 thousand people registered in the last edition. Almost half of all applicants in the previous program were considered black, and according to the bank, they support diversity and inclusion of all races in their corporate environments.
