The City Hall of Aparecida in Goiânia, expecting to promote job and income generation for its population, delivered to Colombina a possession term for the construction of its new brewery in the municipality
Through the Secretary of Economic Development, the City Hall of Aparecida de Goiânia, this Wednesday morning (11), signed a term of surrender of use and possession of the area to the Colombina Brewery, which is synonymous with reference in craft beer in the Midwest region. The company will build a brewery on the site, promising to generate several job opportunities.

The term was signed by Gustavo Mendanha, the mayor of the city, and given to Patrícia Mercês, CEO of Colombina, who was alongside Alberto Nascimento, the company’s commercial director.
The new brewery will be built on a 4,324.77 m² area in the Vice-president José Alencar Industrial Park. Currently, the headquarters of Colombina Brewery is located in Parque Primavera, in Aparecida de Goiânia, and employs 30 people. The company’s goal is to double this number when the new brewery is fully operational.

Colombina’s CEO Speaks Out
According to Patrícia, the company expects growth and a variety in production. According to the executive, the beer producer has been in the market for 7 years and needs to expand its structure to gain more space in the market.
In terms of expansion, one can speak of direct and indirect job creation. The executive added that construction work for the new brewery will begin in 2022 and states that the company is already studying functional engineering methods and that the timelines for the project’s implementation will soon be defined. For now, the surrender of the area by the city hall is a significant step that excites Colombina.
Know Colombina
Colombina Brewery was founded 7 years ago, in February 2014, as the first line of craft beers produced in Goiás. Since its launch, the company has been growing as the main reference when it comes to craft beer.
One of the brand’s main characteristics is the use of fruits from the Cerrado in its composition. Colombina Brewery has won twice at the Brazilian Beer Competition in 2018 during the Brazilian Beer Festival in Blumenau (SC).
In 2014, the year of its launch, it won bronze with its Colombina IPA in the American Strong Pale Ale category; in 2016, Colombina Romaria came in third place in the Herb and Spice category. In 2017, Colombina Lager received a silver medal.
