Entrepreneur Customized The Beetle According To His Need And His Inspiration Were The Buses That Were Already Selling Beer In The City.
Just like Edvaldo Souza, are you also passionate about the Beetle? Nowadays, this group of fans keeps growing, regardless of whether they are old or new cars, since the most charming factor of the car is how many memories we can hold and celebrate with this 4-wheeled vehicle that takes you almost everywhere.
“The Beetle has never stopped being loved, both by children and the elderly. Young people are looking to buy, and older people who already have one won’t sell,” says the owner of the idea, also known as Vadinho, who owns his 12th Beetle and has received numerous offers to sell it: “My daughter always says this Beetle is hers and that it can’t be sold,” this is the main reason he hasn’t accepted an offer that reached R$25 thousand.
Vadinho bought his first Beetle at 18 years old, and the love at first sight has never faded since then. He transformed his iconic Volkswagen Beetle Itamar into a convertible and started a business selling beer.

The project doesn’t stop there; Edvaldo’s current proposal is to expand the business and start selling skewers as an accompaniment to the drink, in addition to adding more Beetles.
The Buses That Were Already Selling Beer In The City Were The Inspiration For Edvaldo
The whole process took place in a pandemic year but didn’t fail to succeed. Vadinho gradually customized the Beetle according to his need, and the inspiration came from the buses that were already selling beer in the city.
The customization is a very detailed job, and Vadinho often receives clients who want to further structure their cars. “The work involving cutting, reinforcement, and finishing averages R$5 thousand, with the person already providing the Beetle. It takes about 3 months to do it well. With painting and upholstery, it averages R$15 thousand to R$20 thousand.”
The community of car lovers is huge, and the organized events, known as beetle gatherings, are as well. The event involves bringing together Beetle and vintage car owners for a drive, with an average of 60 to 80 vehicles on special dates like World Beetle Day.
The Iconic Beetle From Volkswagen Can Be Worth R$ 100 Thousand In Brazil!
Movements like this have been growing and, automatically, increasing values in the automotive market: “In the past, we bought one for R$2 thousand to R$5 thousand. Today, to acquire a Beetle in good condition, you can spend up to R$100 thousand,” reports the admirer.
To conclude, Edvaldo left a piece of advice for those who wish to be part of this community. He says the main point is to experience the passion in a light and fearless way.
“My recommendation is, first of all, to look for the Beetle club gallery in Cuiabá. Buying a good Beetle is also important to avoid problems. Generally, many people think that Beetles are bad cars, but they are the easiest to drive, enjoyable to ride, and nice to have at home,” he concluded.
