The Discussion Aims to Understand the Project’s Impacts on the Local Economy and Bring Future Perspectives for the Region’s Development.
Suape, Pernambuco – ASSESUAPE (Suape Companies Association) announced a significant meeting to be held next Thursday, September 21, at the Intercity Costa Dourada Hotel, in Cabo de Santo Agostinho. The purpose of the meeting is to outline the next steps for the implementation of the Transnordestina Railway to the Port of Suape and consider the economic benefits for Pernambuco.
Prominent consultants, Francisco Cunha and Marcílio Cunha, both leading the railway project for Suape, will be the main speakers at the brunch.
The original route of the Transnordestina, which now includes the Suape branch again, was confirmed by the Ministry of Transport at the end of May. From this route, 180 km of the Salgueiro-Suape section has already been executed, but there is still a long way to go, with an estimated cost of R$ 5 billion for completion.
