The integrated oil and energy company was one of the qualified bidders for the sale process of Petrobras’s stake in the Urucu Cluster, which includes seven onshore oil and gas fields located in the Solimões Basin in the state of Amazonas.

Eneva has also qualified to participate in the leasing of Petrobras’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Bahia. The bidding process for the regasification unit is scheduled for the end of September and has attracted interest from ten groups of national and international investors.

According to the company’s financial director, Marcelo Habibe, Eneva is keeping an eye on all opportunities that arise in the market, not just those from Petrobras. However, according to the executive, it is still early to talk, emphasizing interest in growth that generates value.

Integrated Oil and Gas Project by Eneva in Amazonas

Eneva is already operating in Amazonas, through the exploration of the Azulão Field, acquired from Petrobras in 2017, where it is executing the integrated project “Azulão-Jaguaritica.” The venture will receive around R$ 1.9 billion in investments, and the start of energy delivery is scheduled for 2021.

This Wednesday (12), the Amazonas Natural Gas Company (Cigás) and Eneva signed a contract for the purchase and sale of natural gas that will be produced through the “Azulão-Jaguatirica” project. The gas produced in the Azulão Field will be directed to thermal energy generation in Boa Vista (RR), at the Jaguatirica II Thermal Power Plant, also operated by Eneva.
