Octopus Energy Generation Will Act as Asset Manager of the Wind Farm, Aiming for a Transition to a Future Free of Fossil Fuels and Cooperation in Annual Energy Production.
Octopus Energy Generation has received the delivery of the 48 MW Juniewicze wind farm from OX2, located in Huszlew, Poland. The project, which consists of 16 turbines, was completed after the signing of a contract between the companies in June 2021. The forecast is that the farm will generate about 139 GWh annually, which is equivalent to the consumption of approximately 32,000 households (5,000 kWh per household). OX2 will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the wind farm, while Octopus Energy Generation will maintain its role as asset manager. Collaboration with the local community has also been highlighted, with the construction of a playground at the school carried out by OX2 in connection with the Juniewicze wind farm. OX2’s CEO, Paul Stormoen, highlighted the company’s satisfaction in delivering the project safely and successfully to Octopus Energy Generation, which will help drive the transition to a future free of fossil fuels, and thanked the support of the local community during the project.
The Juniewicze wind farm, with its capacity of 48 MW, was delivered by OX2 to Octopus Energy Generation, marking another milestone in the transition to renewable energy. Composed of 16 wind turbines, it is estimated that the farm will generate about 139 GWh annually, supplying the energy consumption of approximately 32,000 households (5,000 kWh per household). The local technical and commercial management of the farm will be handled by OX2, while Octopus Energy Generation will continue to act as asset manager. In addition, OX2 demonstrated its commitment to the local community by supporting the construction of a playground at the school in connection with the Juniewicze wind farm. OX2’s CEO, Paul Stormoen, expressed his satisfaction with the delivery of the project to Octopus Energy Generation, emphasizing the importance of the farm’s contribution to driving the transition to a future free of fossil fuels and thanked the local community for its support throughout the process.
Wind Farm: A Clean Source of Renewable Energy
Wind farms are becoming an important source of clean energy worldwide. A wind farm is a series of wind turbines installed at a specific location to capture energy from the wind and convert it into electricity. These wind plants are designed to make the most of wind energy, providing a renewable and clean energy source for local communities and beyond.

The Role of a Wind Farm in the Transition to a Future Free of Fossil Fuels
Wind farms play a crucial role in the transition to a future free of fossil fuels. With the growing concern over climate change and the need to reduce carbon emissions, wind farms are increasingly seen as a key solution for future energy needs. The annual production of energy from a wind farm can be significant, contributing to the reduction of annual fossil fuel consumption.
Economic and Environmental Benefits of a Wind Farm
In addition to environmental benefits, wind farms also provide significant economic benefits to the communities where they are located. The asset manager responsible for a wind farm can create local jobs, boost the economy, and provide a stable source of renewable energy. Furthermore, the presence of a wind farm can attract additional investments to the region.
Wind Turbines in a Playground
The presence of wind turbines in a playground can serve as an educational opportunity for future generations. By learning about the importance of wind energy and other forms of renewable energy, children can become active advocates for the transition to a future free of fossil fuels, promoting cooperation and sustainability.
With all these benefits, wind farms are playing a vital role in the shift to a more sustainable energy economy and in preserving our planet for future generations.
