More durable and with better performance than traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium is a technology that promises to make a big impact on the solar energy market in the coming years.
Neosolar, the largest distributor of Off Grid photovoltaic solar energy in Brazil, will present at the Intersolar South America Fair new lines of microinverters and lithium batteries, two of the fastest growing technologies in the solar energy market. Intersolar is the main fair and conference for the sector in Latin America, and will bring together the entire solar photovoltaic and thermal production chain on the continent, from October 18th to 20th, in the city of São Paulo.

“Nothing is more appropriate to promote NeoSolar's new portfolio and reinforce our position as the largest distributor of Off Grid photovoltaic solar energy in Brazil”, says Eduardo Oliveira, NeoSolar's marketing director.
Neosolar's main launch in the second half of 2021 is the Unipower lithium battery, developed with the most advanced energy storage systems. Other launches carried out throughout the year that will be presented at the fair are: the Deye Microinverters, the On + Off Grid Deye Hybrid Inverter, and the Off Grid Upower-Hi Inverter, by Epever.

New lithium battery will impact the solar energy market
More durable and with better performance than traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium is a technology that promises to make a big impact on the solar energy market in the coming years. The modern battery from Brazilian manufacturer Unicoba offers the best cost-effectiveness in the medium term, with performance up to 73% higher than other models and charging time up to 9 times faster.
With the Unipower UPLFP48, the investment in the solar battery pays off over the years with a performance well above average: in addition to lasting approximately three times the useful life of stationary lead-acid batteries (with a useful life of 6000 cycles at a depth of 90% discharge, which is equivalent to 12 years), the lithium battery is also less damaged by misuse, as it allows deeper discharges.
The differentials of a lithium battery are diverse and also include practical installation and safety over time. Despite being robust, the product is lighter than traditional stationary batteries and does not require maintenance. The lithium battery is also flexible and offers the possibility of several applications, and can be monitored with free software management.
Mini wind turbine with the price of a cell phone, produces energy at home, has the same operation as large wind farms and promises to revolutionize the generation of renewable energy in the world
In Ceará alone, there are 27 mini plants distributed in eight different municipalities, supplying 90 units. With a still incipient market throughout Brazil, the use of mini wind turbines (aerogenerators) for Distributed Energy Generation is still not well known. The production of wind energy at home has the same operation as large wind farms, however, with a reduced size. Watch the video below and see how to install your mini wind turbine.
According to Sampaio, wind turbines are most useful in off grid applications. However, to decide if it is advantageous, it is necessary to evaluate the environmental conditions in which the residence is installed, since good wind circulation is necessary for the system to be activated.
Therefore, one of the engineers' recommendations is to complement the wind system with the solar system, in order to guarantee a complete supply of electricity from renewable sources.
The costs for installing a wind system vary according to the desired power, which can range from 500 W to 6 W, with prices ranging from R$ 2,7 to R$ 50.
