Ceará Is in Second Place as the Largest Producer of Solar Energy in the Country. The State Ranks Just Behind Piauí, with 989.9 MW. The Data Comes from the Brazilian Solar Energy Association (ABSOLAR).
Once Again Breaking Records – The state of Ceará already has more than 8 thousand solar energy systems with over 129.4 megawatts (MW) in distributed energy generation. Although it ranks third, with 776.8 MW, Bahia already has a larger volume in operation (652.2 MW) due to housing a solar park of 652.2 MW in operation. Another 124.6 MW is expected to be constructed.

Fortaleza – Ceará Is Highlighted in Solar Energy
One of the highlights in Ceará is the capital, Fortaleza. Alone, it has 35.8 MW operational and ranks fourth in the municipal ranking of distributed photovoltaic solar generation among all municipalities in the country.
According to the latest survey by ABSOLAR, the state ranking for distributed solar generation is led by Minas Gerais, followed by Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná, and Mato Grosso. In the municipal ranking, the top position is held by Uberlândia (MG), followed by Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Fortaleza (CE), Cuiabá (MT), and Brasília (DF).

Photovoltaic Solar Energy Hits Mark of 200 Thousand Jobs in Brazil
Photovoltaic energy has reached the mark of 200 thousand jobs in Brazil, according to a survey by the Brazilian Solar Photovoltaic Energy Association (ABSOLAR). The data takes into account the segments of distributed and centralized generation since 2012, including all positions involved in the sector, with professionals from installation, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, sales to company administration.
According to the organization, the average remuneration of jobs generated by the sector exceeds two minimum wages, above the national average. “The numbers are growing fast, and the sector is becoming important for the economy.
The total capacity has grown even amid the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” stated ABSOLAR CEO Rodrigo Sauaia during a webinar hosted by Smarter E.
