São Paulo Government Opens Protocol With Absolar to Develop Solar Energy Projects in the State

The Government of SP Wants to Invest in Solar Energy and Recently Approached Absolar to Protocol a Future Project  

The main idea of the Government of SP in conjunction with ABSOLAR is that solar energy projects be implemented in at least 60% of the São Paulo territory, including most public agencies.

The protocol carried out by the Government of SP together with Absolar aims not only at the implementation of renewable energy in the State but also to train more Brazilian professionals in the renewable energy sector.  

There will soon be some lectures, free courses, seminars, and preliminary studies to verify if the planned areas to receive the project are in accordance. The initial partnership has a duration of two years.

The Solar Photovoltaic Energy Sector Has Already Created More Than 24,000 Jobs and Is Expected to Generate More in SP  

According to studies conducted by Absolar, in 2012, during the early days of renewable energy when almost no company invested in this area, clean energy generated more than 24,000 job openings in the State.  

The idea of the partnership between Absolar and the Government of the State of SP is to raise even more investments and multiply that number of job generation in Brazil fourfold.

The Government of SP Affirms That to This End It Will Work for the Reduction of Tax Rates and Everything That Could Hinder the Solar Energy Project

The São Paulo administration informed that, to democratize access to renewable energy, the entities will work towards reducing the costs of solar generation.  

“Here in SP, we have great power to not only create job openings and boost the economy of our country, but we can use the power of the sun to generate electricity through solar energy. We will use solar energy to attract new investments to the state, create jobs, and revitalize our economy,” concluded Marcos Penido – Secretary of Infrastructure and Environment (SIMA).
