Photovoltaic Solar Energy Hits Mark of 200 Thousand Jobs in Brazil
Photovoltaic energy has reached the mark of 200 thousand jobs in Brazil, according to a survey by the Brazilian Solar Photovoltaic Energy Association (ABSOLAR). The data takes into account the segments of distributed and centralized generation since 2012, including all positions involved in the sector, with professionals from installation, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, sales to company administration.
According to the organization, the average remuneration of jobs generated by the sector exceeds two minimum wages, above the national average. “The numbers are growing fast, and the sector is becoming important for the economy.
The total capacity has grown even amid the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” stated ABSOLAR CEO Rodrigo Sauaia during a webinar hosted by Smarter E.
