What is the Integrated Technical Course with High School?
The integrated technical course with high school at IFC offers a unique opportunity for students as it allows them to obtain professional training while attending high school.
In this model, students attend classes that integrate the traditional high school subjects, such as mathematics, Portuguese, and sciences, with specific technical training subjects.
For example, in the Computer Science course, in addition to the basic high school subjects, students will study programming, networks, and software engineering.
In the Electromechanics and Mechatronics courses, students will learn about mechanical and electrical systems, as well as automation techniques.
The courses are offered full-time, meaning students attend classes both in the morning and in the afternoon.
Studying at a federal institution like IFC offers a range of benefits. In addition to quality technical training, students have access to a complete infrastructure, which includes modern laboratories, libraries, and communal spaces.
The courses are designed to meet the demands of the job market, ensuring that students graduate prepared to work in their respective fields.
Another important aspect is the support provided to students.
IFC has student assistance programs that include transportation aid, food support, and educational materials, ensuring that students can focus on their studies without financial concerns.
Slots Reserved for Affirmative Actions
The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina adopts a policy of affirmative actions, reserving 50% of the slots for candidates who have studied exclusively in public schools.
These slots are subdivided into socioeconomic, racial criteria, and for people with disabilities.
Additionally, in some campuses, there are also slots reserved for students from families working in family farming.
This quota policy aims to ensure greater equity in access to public quality education, expanding opportunities for students facing unfavorable socioeconomic conditions.

The enrollment process is completely online and must be carried out through the Candidate Portal, available on the Federal Institute website.
