Free Professional Qualification Opportunity Offers Online Courses With Federal Certificate in Education and Social Care Areas. Spaces Are Limited and Filled on a First-Come, First-Served Basis.

The Federal Institute of Southern Rio Grande has opened 4,000 free spots in Distance Learning mode for qualification in education and social care areas.

The opportunities include FIC courses from the Employ More Program, with selection by order of registration and certification issued by IFSul, a federal institution linked to the MEC.

Registrations are open until October 13, 2025, with approval expected on October 27 and classes starting on November 3, 2025.

Free Courses With Certification from IFSul

In total, the announcement includes 17 free courses in MOOC format, totaling 17,000 spots.

In this selection, there are 1,000 spots per course for roles directly related to school daily life and care: School Food Agent, Pedagogical Assistant, Child Caregiver, and Senior Caregiver.

The workload ranges from 160 to 200 hours, with certification at the end for those who meet the academic and evaluative requirements of the course.

Activities take place in the Mundi Platform virtual environment.

Requirements to Enroll

The four courses prioritize widely accessible training but require minimum education compatible with the assignments.

For School Food Agent, it is necessary to have completed Elementary School II and be at least 18 years old.

The Pedagogical Assistant course requires completed High School.

Both Child Caregiver and Senior Caregiver require completed Elementary School II and being 18 years or older.

These prerequisites are listed in Table I of the announcement and guide the document analysis at the time of enrollment.

What Each Course Teaches

The School Food Agent (160h) track prepares participants for preparation and serving of meals in educational units, focusing on hygiene, food safety, and nutritional guidance.

Pedagogical Assistant (200h) trains professionals to support projects and teaching routines, collaborate in evaluation processes, and contribute to the methodological organization of activities.

Child Caregiver (160h) covers practices of hygiene, comfort, nutrition, and recreational activities aimed at child development.

Senior Caregiver (160h) emphasizes care routines, comfort, nutrition, and general condition observation, with attention to promoting autonomy and quality of life.

Class Format and Certification

The courses are delivered as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), with a recommended average dedication of up to 15 hours per week.

The entire training process occurs remotely, with materials, activities, and assessments provided in the institutional environment.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate issued by IFSul, an academic document from a federal institution linked to the MEC, valid for professional qualification verification.

Timeline and Selection

The registration deadline ends on October 13, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

The classification is simple: the first 1,000 registrations for each course will be approved, provided they meet the prerequisites and complete the submission of the form.

The posting of approved registrations is expected by October 27, 2025.

Classes will start on November 3, 2025, exclusively in Distance Learning format.

Each candidate can apply for up to three courses simultaneously, according to the announcement.

Documentation and Enrollment

Enrollment requires basic identification documents and a proof of minimum education required for the chosen course.

The announcement details the complete list and guides the electronic submission of files through the IFSul system.

If necessary, the institute maintains a technical support channel for inquiries and difficulties in filling out the form.

Study and Virtual Environment

The entire journey is offered through the EAD structure of IFSul, on the Mundi Platform.

Activities include readings, exercises, research, and assignments spread over the weeks, following the workload of each course.

Certification depends on the completion of activities and performance as outlined in the pedagogical plans.

There is no provision for transportation, accommodation, or food assistance, as this is an entirely online offering.

How to Enroll in the IFSul Course

Registrations are made exclusively online, on IFSul’s distance learning portal, until October 13, 2025.

Each interested party can register for up to three courses, and the order of registration determines the filling of spots, provided the requirements are met and the application is approved.

The list of approved candidates will be released by October 27, with classes starting on November 3, 2025.
