Free Technical Courses at IFSULDEMINAS Offer Nearly Two Thousand Slots in Strategic Areas, with Distance Learning, Mandatory In-Person Meetings, a Symbolic Registration Fee, and Selection by Electronic Lottery, Expanding Access to Federal Vocational Training.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) has opened registrations for free distance technical courses, starting in the first semester of 2026 and selection by electronic lottery, without the application of tests.
The process is regulated by Notice 325/2025 and includes vacancies in three programs: Technical in Systems Development, Technical in Marketing, and Technical in Coffee Growing, offered by the Institute’s campuses and in-person support centers in different municipalities.
Registrations will be open until January 30, 2026, at 5:59 PM, and require a payment of a R$ 10 fee.

The opportunities are distributed among the Muzambinho, Machado, and Poços de Caldas campuses, with classes linked to in-person support centers.
At the Muzambinho Campus, the Technical Course in Coffee Growing in the EaD modality has a duration of two years and offers 50 slots at each of the centers in Alfenas, Campos Gerais, Ilicínea, Muzambinho, Três Corações, and Três Pontas.
In total, there are 300 slots in the area.
The Machado Campus offers the Technical Course in Marketing in the EaD modality, with a duration of one year.
The notice lists 35 slots at the centers in Alfenas, Andradas, Alterosa, Boa Esperança, Cambuí, Campestre, Campo Belo, Carmo do Rio Claro, Paraisópolis, and São Gonçalo do Sapucaí.
Additionally, the Machado center has 50 slots.
In total, the distribution amounts to 400 slots for Marketing.
At the Poços de Caldas Campus, the Technical Course in Systems Development in the EaD modality has a duration of one and a half years.
The offer includes 60 slots at each of the centers in Andrelândia, Cruzília, Carandaí, Confins, Itajubá, Monte Sião, Nova Serrana, Paraisópolis, Sabará, and Três Corações.
The Poços de Caldas center concentrates 600 slots.
The total reaches 1,200 slots for Systems Development.
Considering the three courses, the selection includes 1,900 slots.

Who Can Register and How the Quotas Work
To compete, it is necessary to have completed High School by the time of enrollment.
The distribution of slots follows criteria of broad competition and reservation, with percentages described in the notice.
The document provides for 45% of the slots for broad competition and 5% for people with disabilities in the general modality.
The other 50% are reserved for affirmative actions aimed at candidates who have completed the required stage entirely in public schools, with cuts based on income and self-declaration, according to criteria mentioned in the text of the notice.
Since the selection is not through a test, the lottery takes into account the chosen competition modality at the time of registration, according to the rules of the selection process.
Electronic Lottery Replaces Traditional Tests

Additionally, communications from IFSULDEMINAS highlight that the enrollment of selected candidates must be done through the platform linked to gov.br, with the submission of the documentation required in the notice.

The registration must be made on the official IFSULDEMINAS entrance exam system, selecting the desired course and support center, filling in the requested information as per the Notice 325/2025.
