This was the case for Claudionor Santos, a software engineer at Facebook’s office in London. Coming from Aracaju (SE) and graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), he was part of the program and was hired by the company in 2018. “I started participating in programming competitions and it became a passion, I switched from mechanical engineering to computer science and then applied for the Facebook internship. I didn’t get it the first time, but just going to the interview was a learning experience,” he says.
