Mercado Livre, the e-commerce giant has an ambitious expansion project and will open 16 jobs in Latin America
The e-commerce giant Mercado Livre will open job openings throughout Latin America, with the idea of doubling the size of the operation in 2021. In total, there will be 16 new jobs, of which 7200 will be destined for Brazil. In addition, the company's goal is to invest R$ 10 billion in the country, mainly in the areas of logistics and fintech.

Mercado Livre's idea is to strengthen its logistics network and areas of IT, financial services and products. Currently, the e-commerce giant has 15.545 employees, and hiring 16 new employees could double the operation. The biggest impact will be in the logistics area, where the company wants to quadruple its staff.

Patrícia Monteiro, director of the hiring sector at Mercado Livre in Brazil, explains that the company is looking for diversity: “We believe that this diversity is powerful to boost our vocation for innovation and technology, and also to contribute to a new cycle of reconstruction of the post-pandemic economy”.

Mercado Livre offers 2500 scholarships for technology courses; secure your spot!
Free Market and Globant offer 2500 scholarships for technology courses. The first 250 grants will prioritize women, non-binary people, blacks and public school alumni.
The technology education course aims to train 10 professionals in the area in two years. The goal is to provide 2500 scholarships in Latin America, 700 of them in Brazil alone.
Requirements: There is no income criterion in the selection, to compete the student must be over 16 years old and have completed high school
The fee for the first year of the course in Brazil is R$16.800 and, with the scholarship, the student will be able to pay R$840 (in installments). Selection after application involves a series of tests and interviews.
