One Of The Best-Selling Cars In The United States For Decades, The Ford F-150 Pickup Comes With Its Fully Electric Version And Can Be Imported To Brazil For Exactly R$ 797 Thousand
It has been confirmed that Ford will present the F-150 to the Brazilian market. On the other hand, the classic combustion version of this legendary pickup, which has been one of the best-selling cars in the United States for decades, will only be available with a V8 engine. However, the electric version of the Ford F-150, the Lightning, can enter the country through independent importation.
A company specialized in vehicle importation, Direct Imports, is already selling the electric pickup in the top-tier variation (Platinum) for exactly R$ 797 thousand. This price is especially reasonable considering the same model in the United States costs around US$ 100 thousand.
The electric pickup Ford F-150 Lightning has even more impressive specifications: a weight of over three tons, a payload capacity of over 1,000 kilograms, the ability to tow up to 4.5 tons, and a speed from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds.

BYD was caught testing 1,500 kW chargers in China that are three times more powerful than Tesla’s, and the system promises to recharge electric cars in minutes with energy that costs less than one real per kilowatt-hour.
As the engine is not located in front of the electric vehicle, there is a “trunk” that has a capacity of 400 liters. This is more space than many SUVs currently on the market.
The electric F-150 Platinum comes factory-equipped with two electric motors, one mounted on each axle. When combined, these motors can produce the same power of 588 horsepower and torque of 107 kgfm. The range of this configuration is 483 kilometers, as it comes factory-equipped with an expanded battery with increased capacity from 98 kWh to 131 kWh.
The exceptionally high price of the Ford F-150 electric allows for the inclusion of a high level of equipment. It is equipped with a high-end Bang & Olufsen sound system with 18 speakers, 22-inch wheels, a Sync 4A multimedia center with a vertical 15-inch screen, and the owner’s smartphone can be used as the vehicle’s key.
The Electric Ford F-150 Features Parking Assistance System, Panoramic Roof, Bed Cover That Can Be Opened Electronically And Various Other High-End Technologies
The electric Ford F-150 Lightning includes various technologies to provide comfort and safety for drivers and passengers. In addition to the aforementioned equipment, it also features a 360-degree rotating camera and power seats with ten different adjustment settings to provide maximum comfort for the occupants.
The electric Ford F-150 Lightning is still considered a pioneer in the large electric pickup class. However, other manufacturers such as Chevrolet (Silverado EV), RAM (Electric 150), and Tesla (Cybertruck) will soon also be available on the market as strong competitors.
It is worth noting that direct importers also offer a more affordable choice of the F-150. This is the XLT version, which is the second in the model line, costing R$ 600 thousand. For comparison, in the United States, this version costs $63,000 and has 452 horsepower.
