The Ford Maverick Truck Is Set to Debut in March 2023 and Is Announced as Having Fuel Consumption in the City of About 18 Kilometers per Liter
That the hybrid Maverick truck will be available soon in Brazil is something that Ford has already acknowledged and confirmed. The new hybrid truck from Ford, which will launch in the first quarter of 2023, already has a owner’s manual with some details. For example, the Lariat version is the only one that will be available, exactly with the 2.0 turbo.
At the end of 2022, Ford gave a preview of the Lariat trim level. At the time, the company did not want to comment on any additional information.
However, according to the owner’s manual for the hybrid Maverick truck, the Lariat model is the top-of-the-line in the United States, and its powertrain consists of a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor with continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The model also comes with 18-inch diamond-cut wheels. Additionally, Ford decided to listen to customers and will bring the hybrid Maverick equipped with a sunroof, which is an option that is already available for the 2.0T. This was also shown in the manual.
Inside, there are brown leather-trimmed seats, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch multimedia system with mirroring, a 6.5-inch instrument panel display, and a key with proximity sensor.
The car also features adaptive cruise control and a blind spot monitor, although these features are only available as an optional upgrade in the United States of America. They would be a unique selling point for the truck, and may only arrive here starting from the 2024 model year.
New Ford Hybrid Maverick Truck Has 194 Horsepower, Maximum Load of 659 kg, and Estimated Price Between R$ 200 and R$ 210 Thousand
In other countries, including the United States, the engine may have different recorded specifications. The 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine is recorded as having the equivalent of 155 horsepower in the debut version in Brazil, although it has 165 horsepower in the United States.
The torque reaches 210 nm, which is the same as 21.4 kgfm, and it is the same value as there. The specifications for the electric motor should be the same, with 128 horsepower and 23.9 kgfm of torque, respectively. Although the internal combustion / hybrid engine combination is not shown, the hybrid Maverick truck has a rating of 194 horsepower in the U.S.
The maximum allowed load is 659 kg. The front wheels will provide the traction, while the rear suspension will be a torsion axle. This is a simplified version of the independent 4-wheel suspension seen in the 2.0 turbo. The presentation will still take place this semester, and considering the pricing of the Lariat FX4 2.0T model, which is already quoted at R$ 240.490, the hybrid Maverick truck should cost between R$ 200 and R$ 210 thousand.
