The New Electric Pickup Hummer EV, Acquired by Actor Felipe Titto, Has Over 1000 HP of Power and Its Batteries Weigh More Than a Ton

The businessman, actor, and also host, Felipe Titto owns the newest electric pickup Hummer EV, another luxury car for his collection that already includes a Corvette. This time, Felipe opted for a more unique model. The chosen pickup was imported, as it is not yet officially sold in Brazil.

Felipe Titto’s new electric pickup Hummer EV can be purchased in the United States for over one hundred thousand dollars. Here in Brazil, the vehicle is imported without assistance from the manufacturer, and the cost paid by the actor was around 2.3 million reais according to Ace Motors, based on information from the website Auto Esporte.

The electric pickup is a monster on four wheels, with a power of exactly 1,014 horsepower, torque exceeding 165.9 kgfm, derived from three electric motors, and just the batteries of the electric vehicle weigh about 1,336 kilograms.

According to the manufacturer of the electric pickup, GMC, the vehicle takes only three seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h; to put it in perspective, this is the same time as some sports car models from Ferrari. It is important to remember that the Hummer EV is a pickup, with a cargo bed that can hold 590 kilograms, but it has the capacity to tow 3,042 kilograms.

Depending on the driving style, the approach angle can range from 49.7 degrees to 44.3 degrees. Now the departure angle varies from 33.7 degrees to 38.4 degrees. As it is an EV, Felipe Titto’s electric pickup has a trunk of 320 liters, where the engine would be in a conventional car.

The electric pickup Hummer EV acquired by Felipe Titto features batteries produced by LG, which are the largest ever used in a passenger car, with over 200 kWh of capacity. For reference, the Audi e-tron uses accumulators of 95 kWh.

The electric pickup Hummer EV features an innovative mode, the “Crabwalk Mode”, which allows the car to move sideways by smoothly rotating all four wheels in the same direction, enabling the vehicle to move in this manner.

This functionality was developed to assist in maneuvers on both paved and unpaved surfaces, including off-road. It makes it easier for the driver to avoid obstacles and get out of mud.

It is also possible to watch the entire traction and steering show live, thanks to a system called UltraVision. The system includes the installation of 18 cameras in all corners of the vehicle, allowing visualization of up to all four tires and the area under the pickup on the multimedia center. All of this in a split-screen display.
