Best Initiatives of the ‘Bikeatona’ Will Receive Support of R$ 5 Thousand for Development

Foresea, a leading company in the offshore drilling sector, and the Aromeiazero Institute opened registrations on this Tuesday (07/11) for the second edition of ‘Bikeatona’, a marathon of social innovation and mentoring for ideas, projects, businesses, products, technologies, and interventions that use or promote the use of bicycles in Macaé (RJ). The goal is to promote safe mobility, reactivate public spaces, and foster social, community, and economic development in the city.

Eight proposals will be pre-selected to receive financial support and participate in an immersion organized by the Aromeiazero Institute. The mentorship themes will be: Bicycle and Social Impact, Social Innovation Management, and Financial Sustainability Models. Of the eight that will be in the first phase, four will receive financial support of R$ 5 thousand each to develop their projects.

“This is Foresea’s first social initiative with Pedala Macaé, and we are excited to see the project ideas that will come forward. We want to stimulate creativity to find the best solutions and fulfill our commitment to environmental preservation, contributing to the sustainable use of bicycles in the city,” celebrates Marco Aurélio Fonseca, Vice President of Sustainability at Foresea.

To make the journey more accessible, it is not obligatory for participants to be formalized or have a CNPJ. The registered groups must be represented by one of their members (over 18 years old), who will have the registration recorded in their CPF and the prize money deposited in their account, should the proposal be selected. Proponents with residence/headquarters in Macaé, and those with experience or knowledge of the municipality will have priority.

The call for proposals is open to: collectives and groups of small entrepreneurs (MEI and ME) and non-governmental legal entities with or without profit aims.

The call for proposals is available on the website, and registrations can be made until August 13. On July 27, at 6 PM, on the Aromeiazero’s social networks and at Bicibase, the headquarters of Pedala Macaé (located in Parque Aeroporto), there will be a meeting where participants will have the opportunity to ask their questions about Bikeatona. In 2022, the ‘Bikeatona’ financially supported 4 projects: Cycling Tourism Women on Bikes (Pedala Preta), Selective Collection by Bike (Onda Verde), The Bike as a Tool for Promoting Social Participation in Primary Health Care in Macaé-RJ, and Pedala Trapiche Serra de Macaé RJ – Bike Carolina.
