Engineering School Offers 240 Places in Free Qualification Courses for the Industrial Sector

If you are looking for an opportunity to grow professionally in the fields of civil construction and metalworking, the time has come! The Intensive Course for Industrial Workforce Preparation (Cipmoi), an extension project of the Engineering School of UFM G, is now open for registrations for free industrial qualification courses. With a tradition of over 60 years, Cipmoi offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking to train and obtain a recognized certification.

Qualification for 2025 with Free Courses

Cipmoi will open 240 places in four free industrial qualification courses: Construction Manager (70 places), Low Voltage Building Electrician (70 places), CAD Designer for Civil Construction (50 places), and Welding Technology (50 places). Each course lasts 10 months, combining theory and practice, preparing students to face the real challenges of the job market.

The courses, which will take place from March to December 2025, are aimed at candidates with some experience in the field. All modules will be held in the evening, making it easier for professionals who already work during the day to participate. These free industrial qualification courses are a way to enhance your skills and stand out in the sector.

How to Participate: Registrations and Selection Process

Registrations must be made in person, between November 25 and December 6 or from December 11 to 20, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM, at the Cipmoi office located in the Engineering School of UFMG, room 2031 of block 3. To register, it is necessary to be over 18 years old, meet the required education level (Elementary School I for most courses and Elementary School II for CAD designer), and not have a completed or incomplete higher education degree.

The selection process includes eliminatory stages: a general knowledge test on January 19, 2025, and for those who qualify, interviews between January 23 and February 21. The final list of selected candidates will be announced on February 28, 2025, on the project’s Instagram and website. This careful selection ensures that the free industrial qualification courses reach those who truly need and value this training.

Created by UFMG students in 1957, Cipmoi is the oldest extension project of the university. It has trained thousands of professionals in civil construction and metalworking, always with a practical focus aligned with market demands. In addition to technical training, Cipmoi encourages discussion about the social role of professionals, addressing issues such as ethics, responsibility, and the impact of innovations.

With a dedicated team of instructors – composed of undergraduate students, professors, and volunteers – Cipmoi offers free industrial qualification courses that connect academic knowledge and practical experience, training professionals capable of facing complex challenges and collaborating in teams.
