Hyundai – An Urgent Call to Owners to Address Possible Risks Associated with the Control Module of the Automatic Transmission Oil Pump.
São Paulo – Hyundai Motor Brasil Montadora de Automóveis Ltda. (“HMB”) is calling owners of the Creta, HB20, and HB20S models for a technical check and possible replacement of a critical component. The call is directed to vehicles manufactured between January 18 and September 19, 2023 for the Creta, and between December 20, 2022, and September 27, 2023 for the HB20 and HB20S.
Technical Reasons Behind the Recall
According to information provided by Hyundai, the reason for the call is a non-conformance in the control module of the automatic transmission oil pump. This irregularity has the potential to cause a short circuit, putting occupants and the vehicle at risk.
Risks and Implications
A short circuit in the control module of the automatic transmission oil pump can result, in extreme cases, in fire risk. This may lead to property damage and even serious or fatal injuries to the driver, passengers, and third parties.

The Importance of Prompt Attention
Hyundai emphasizes the urgency of attending to this call to ensure the safety and satisfaction of its customers. The inspection and, if necessary, the replacement of the component will be carried out at the Hyundai dealer network, at no cost to the consumer.
