In the case of the trio Citroën Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, and Fiat Scudo, the new 2.2 turbo diesel engine rated at 150 horsepower and 370 Nm replaces the old one, which had 120 horsepower and 300 Nm, representing an increase of 30 horsepower and 23.2% in torque. The models continue with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The changes were necessary due to the new, stricter pollutant emission regulations under Proconve L8, which came into effect at the beginning of this year.
Classified as Light Urban Vehicle (LUV), the Jumpy, Expert, and Scudo vans are structurally and mechanically identical; however, they differ in front-end details and the logos of each brand. All of them can be driven by drivers with a category B driver’s license and have cargo and passenger versions.
Main Improvements
With the new set, Stellantis’s trio achieved significant improvements in fuel consumption, averaging 12.4 km/l in the city and 13.7 km/l on the highway, making them 4.2% and 15.1% more economical, respectively. The new engine also brought performance advantages to the models, with acceleration from 60 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and from 80 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds, with average improvements of 2 seconds.
Even with the new engine, the Fiat Scudo’s load capacity remains at up to 1.5 tons, in addition to the total cargo area and other equipment.
In the second half of last year, the Citroën Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, and Fiat Scudo vans received new front bumpers, a redesigned radiator grille, and revamped headlights. Standard features include electric steering, speed limiter, digital dashboard, and cruise control.
The Fiat Scudo 2025 features unibody architecture that adds rigidity, robustness, and comfort, with independent suspension on all four wheels. Additionally, it maintains excellent load capacity of up to 1.5 tons, with a length of 5.3 m, 6.1 m³ of volume, and a height of 1.97 m. There is also a double rear door with 180-degree opening, along with a sliding side door that makes loading and unloading easier.
