Military Promotion Ensures Increase in Pay for Marines After the Corps Training Course in the Brazilian Navy.

The military promotion of ten Marines based in Brasília marks a significant change in the career and military pay of these professionals.

The advancement comes after passing the Corps Training Course, officially starting in December 2025, at the Instruction and Training Center of Brasília (CIAB).

The progression represents not only institutional recognition but also a relevant salary adjustment, reinforcing the policy of valuing the Brazilian Navy

The initiative involves who, when, where, how, and why: the approved military personnel will follow the course after internal selection based on merit and performance;

The farewell took place on December 15, 2025; the event was held in Brasília;

The process occurs through specific training; and the goal is to prepare soldiers for new operational and hierarchical responsibilities.

Therefore, it is a strategic step for both individual careers and the strengthening of the institution.

Corps Training Course Represents Advancement in Military Career

The Corps Training Course is considered one of the most important stages of the journey within the Marines.

In addition to preparing military personnel for direct leadership roles, the course expands professional responsibilities and participation in more complex missions.

Thus, the military promotion ceases to be merely symbolic and begins to have a direct impact on routine and pay.

According to an official note from CIAB, the moment was treated as both an institutional and personal achievement.

The farewell ceremony highlighted the efforts of the selected military personnel, reinforcing the meritocracy culture adopted by the Navy.

The Official Message Highlights the Value of Continuous Dedication to Military Service.

“On December 15, 2025, at the Instruction and Training Center of Brasília Admiral Domingos de Mattos Cortez (CIAB), the farewell occurred for the Marines approved for the Corporal Course, in various specialties.

The approval for the course represents an important professional achievement, a result of the efforts and dedication of these military personnel throughout their careers.

CIAB congratulates the Marines SD-FN Brito, SD-FN Sobreira, SD-FN Ribeiro, SD-FN Bruno, SD-FN Gomes, SD-FN Binhoti, SD-FN Aparecido, SD-FN Verdino, SD-FN Abraão and SD-FN Garajau for their approval in the Corporal Course, wishing them full success in this new stage of their careers, with best wishes.”

Military Pay Increases After Promotion from Soldier to Corporal

In addition to functional advancement, the military promotion brings a significant financial impact.

Currently, a Marine who is selected through a public competition receives a salary of around R$ 2,400.

This amount can vary by up to 20%, depending on factors such as the number of dependents, completed courses, and specific bonuses.

Upon completion of the Corps Training Course, the scenario changes significantly. The military pay jumps to approximately R$ 4,000, considering the average currently practiced.

Therefore, the salary increase directly reflects the new hierarchical level and the responsibilities assumed.

Net Salary of Corporal Reflects Benefits and Mandatory Deductions

While the gross pay stands out, the net salary — the amount actually deposited in the account — also shows a relevant advancement.

After mandatory deductions, such as military pension and health fund, the Marine Corporal begins to receive around R$ 3,500 net.

Still, this amount can vary up or down, depending on the individual profile of each military personnel.

Additional benefits, bonuses, and family situations influence the final amount, keeping the military pay adjusted to each professional’s personal reality.

Promotion Reinforces the Brazilian Navy’s Valuation Strategy

Finally, the movement reinforces the institutional strategy of the Brazilian Navy to invest in continuous training and in the appreciation of the workforce.

By promoting professional growth through courses and promotions, the institution ensures greater operational efficiency and talent retention.

Meanwhile, the selected military personnel start a new stage marked by greater responsibilities, better pay, and a more active role in the corporation’s missions.

Thus, the military promotion is established as a key element in the careers of the Marines, uniting professional recognition and financial evolution in a structured and meritocratic manner.
