Keppel Shipyard has been contracted to manufacture, complete, and integrate the topside modules and anchoring support structure for the Floating Storage and Offloading Unit (FPSO) by Modec for projects in Brazil. As everyone knows, its subsidiary representative is Brasfels Shipyard, located in Angra dos Reis, RJ. This means additional reinforcement in shipbuilding works in RJ, and new job opportunities may arise.

Keppel reported that the components for the modules and the structure are scheduled to arrive in the 3rd quarter of 2020 for completion, as well as integration and installation with the hull of the FPSO, which is expected at the shipyard in the 4th quarter.

With a delivery forecast for the 2nd quarter of 2021, the FPSO will be equipped to process 90,000 barrels of oil and 75 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, with a storage capacity of 700,000 barrels of oil.

In Brazil, the BrasFELS shipyard of Keppel O&M received a contract to manufacture a topside module for an FPSO for the Búzios field in the Santos Basin, off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Shipbuilding.
