Google Launches New Free Courses in São Paulo: Over 2,5 Thousand Slots in Artificial Intelligence in Partnership with the State Government.

As an initiative by the Department of Economic Development, the Qualifica SP Program – New Employment opens registrations for 2,5 thousand slots in free courses focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI), in partnership with Google Cloud and the Foundation for Technology Support (FAT). These free Artificial Intelligence courses are a great opportunity for those looking to enter a rapidly growing sector.

Free Artificial Intelligence Courses from Google

Offered online, the free courses from Google Cloud present, in three modules, an overview of generative artificial intelligence concepts, from the fundamentals of large language models to the principles of responsibility.

There are 50 hours of free Artificial Intelligence courses, which can be completed over a month and a half and are divided into 30 hours of curriculum content, 12 hours of tutoring, and eight hours of socio-emotional skills.

For the free Artificial Intelligence courses from Google, it is necessary to have a Desktop or Laptop Computer with internet access, basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows, Programming, and Computer Networks, be at least 18 years old at the time of registration, and take and be classified in the assessment test.

Upon completing the free courses from Google Cloud and fulfilling all requirements, students will be invited to participate in the Job Fair – Opportunities Fair, an event with internship and job offers that will take place in November.

How to Enroll in the Free Artificial Intelligence Courses?

Enrollment for the free Google Cloud courses must be done through the Qualifica SP website by September 22nd. Residents of the state of São Paulo aged over 18 can participate. After completing the enrollment, candidates for the free Artificial Intelligence courses must take qualifying tests, with notifications being sent via email.

The demand for qualified professionals in Artificial Intelligence increased by 39% between January and April this year compared to the same period last year, according to a survey by recruitment consultancy Michael Page. The research also indicates that the salary for AI specialists can vary from R$ 15 thousand to R$ 32 thousand.

At the end of each module in the free Google Cloud courses, an assessment will be given to obtain a Google Cloud skills badge, which represents the company’s recognition that the individual possesses knowledge in that specific skill.

Students who earn the necessary badges and have at least 75% attendance in classes will be able to participate in the Job Fair – Opportunities Fair, a virtual event with internship and job openings, promoted by Google Cloud and partner companies, which will take place in November.
