The Memorandum Signed by the Government of Rio de Janeiro and White Martins Provides for the Introduction of Green Hydrogen into the State’s Energy Matrix
White Martins signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government of Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday, 29, aimed at qualifying the development and implementation of projects to produce green hydrogen in the state. The agreement aims to combine White Martins’ expertise and Rio de Janeiro’s energy potential for the introduction of green hydrogen.
The memorandum between White Martins and the state of Rio de Janeiro was signed with SEDEERI (Secretariat of State for Economic Development, Energy and International Relations of Rio de Janeiro) and plans to include other energy sources, such as green hydrogen, a strategic part of Rio de Janeiro’s energy matrix, in line with global energy transition and sustainability principles.
“White Martins has a dedicated team for the development of green hydrogen business that works closely with Linde’s research and engineering centers. This is a strategic area for the company that is ready to invest in green hydrogen projects in Rio de Janeiro and across Brazil,” said the company’s president, Gilney Bastos.
