Through the Department of Infrastructure and Environment (SIMA), the Government of São Paulo has included 13 cities in the Vale do Ribeira in the Huawei Solar Road Show route, which is a project by ABGD to promote the renewable energy market in Brazil, such as photovoltaic solar energy. The free courses will have an average duration of 8 hours of activities, which include basic concepts of distributed generation (GD) regulation of electric energy, installation quality, and preliminary project sizing and sales for solar energy. Expanding Solar Energy Market
According to Marcos Penido, State Secretary of Infrastructure and Environment, initiatives like this from the Government of São Paulo are essential, considering that, in addition to developing the local economy, they promote the use of solar energy.
The mobile unit will leave São Paulo and arrive on May 2 in Iguape, the first city in the Vale, starting the course the next day. Besides the Vale, the unit will pass through the São Paulo coastline and other regions of São Paulo.
According to Marco Vinholi, Secretary of Regional Development, this is yet another innovative initiative in the Ribeira region that, in addition to empowering citizens, encourages a more sustainable and cleaner future.

With the aim of transforming one of the regions of São Paulo (which has rich biodiversity) into a model of regional development based on sustainable exploration, the Government of São Paulo has been proposing partnerships with municipalities, civil society organizations, and local communities to implement sustainable development projects, conservation, and improving the quality of life for the Ribeira population and income generation.
